MISSISSAUGA erases deficit to stun ETOBICOKE, 4-3

MISSISSAUGA climbed out of a three-goal hole to beat ETOBICOKE, 4-3.

MISSISSAUGA never led in the game until netting the game winner. MISSISSAUGA trailed 3-0 after a goal by ETOBICOKE's Shana Walker at 13:24 in the first period. MISSISSAUGA tied things up at 3-3 on a goal by Hilary Lloyd at 11:55 in the second period. MISSISSAUGA got the game winner at 14:18 in the third period on a goal by Lloyd.

Kristyn Capizzano had two goals to lead MISSISSAUGA to victory.

MISSISSAUGA kept ETOBICOKE's goalie busy throughout the game, and Amanda Smith made 42 saves on 46 shots. MISSISSAUGA's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as MISSISSAUGA finished with 18 penalty minutes.

MISSISSAUGA also got points from Lloyd, who also had one goal and one assist. MISSISSAUGA also got a goal from Nadine Edney as well. Other players who recorded assists for MISSISSAUGA were Ainsley MacMillan, who had two and Hannah Duncan, Victoria Bach, Jillian Skinner, and Kelly Mariani, who contributed one a piece.

Team could not crack MISSISSAUGA's penalty kill and was held to one power play goal while having nine opportunities to play with the man advantage.

ETOBICOKE was helped by Cara Sayles, who finished with one goal. Sayles scored 9:43 into the first period to make the score 2-0 ETOBICOKE. Shannon Whitaker provided the assist. Mackenzie Johnston also scored for ETOBICOKE. More assists for ETOBICOKE came via Catie Thomson, Nicole Atkinson, Megan Farrell, Stacy Joe, and Katelyn Turk (A), who each chipped in one.

Amelia Boughn made 12 saves for MISSISSAUGA on 15 shots. MISSISSAUGA registered two goals on seven power play opportunities. ETOBICOKE incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
