KINGSTON tried its best to erase a two-goal deficit, but OAKVILLE would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 2-1. A goal by Hayley Scamurra put OAKVILLE up 2-0 in the third period, but KINGSTON pulled to within one on Amy Mountenay (C)'s tally 10:37 into the third period. Scamurra was all over the ice for OAKVILLE, as she registered two goals in the win. KINGSTON was unable to stop OAKVILLE from sending pucks towards the net, and OAKVILLE eventually piled up 36 shots on goal. In addition, OAKVILLE received assists from Jennifer MacAskill, Savannah Newton, and Michelle Quick, who each chipped in one. Camille Leonard made 20 saves for OAKVILLE on 21 shots. OAKVILLE incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors and had no power play opportunities. Jensen Murphy rejected 34 shots on goal for KINGSTON. KINGSTON avoided the penalty box for the entire game and scored zero goals off of two power plays.
