In a game where neither team could get a cushion, OTTAWA escaped with a 4-2 victory over AURORA. OTTAWA gained the winning advantage on a goal by Rebecca Leslie 27 seconds into the second period and hung on until final buzzer. Leslie had two goals to lead OTTAWA to victory. OTTAWA also got a goal from Shania Lavallee as well. More assists for OTTAWA came via Kayla Carter and Mackenzie Coney, who contributed one a piece and Stacy Galasso, Amanda Titus, and Caitlyn McLaren, who each chipped in two. AURORA was helped by Christina Ieradi, who finished with one goal. Ieradi scored 11:25 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Courtney Brindamour-McClure(A) picked up the assist. Caroline DeBruin(A) also scored for AURORA. Other players who recorded assists for AURORA were Lauren Cavarzan, who had one and Alie Brindamour-McClure(A), who had two. OTTAWA's Shawlee Gaudreault stopped 26 shots out of the 28 that she faced. OTTAWA incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors and had no power play opportunities. Paula Voorheis rejected 16 shots on goal for AURORA. AURORA incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with two minors.
