BRAMPTON uses early goal to top AURORA, 1-0

BRAMPTON beat AURORA, 1-0, in a contest where the winning goal was scored in the first period but the game remained close throughout.

A goal 57 seconds into the the first period by Caitlyn Manning proved to be the game winner, and powered BRAMPTON to the victory Emily Bondrager assisted on the tally.

BRAMPTON was boosted by Hanna Mandl, who turned in a shutout with 36 saves. Mandl managed to improve on her goals against average, which stood at 3.32 prior to the game.

BRAMPTON was paced by Manning, who had one goal.

BRAMPTON put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow AURORA to score on any of its five power plays. BRAMPTON's defense was surprisingly good. BRAMPTON averages 2.9 goals allowed per game.

More assists for BRAMPTON came via Taylor Sokay, who had one.
