LEASIDE had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 9-3 win over SOUTHWEST.

LEASIDE got the win thanks to a great game by Megan Sullivan, who had two goals and two assists. Sullivan scored the first of her two goals at 4:06 into the second period to make the score 2-0 LEASIDE. Sullivan's next tally made the score 9-3 LEASIDE with 22 seconds left in the third period. Anthea Lasis provided the assist.

LEASIDE's goal total was higher than its season average. LEASIDE averages 2.2 goals per game. LEASIDE was effective with a man advantage, and put in two goals while on the power play. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.

LEASIDE also got points from Alyssa Connolly, who also registered one goal and one assist and Lasis, who also racked up two goals and one assist. LEASIDE also had goals scored by Katrina Manoukarakis, who had two and Kat McNally (PU) and Ashley Bailey, who each put in one. More assists for LEASIDE came via Kristen Lucas, Kendra Corbett, Rachel Dowdall (PU), and Sam Corkum, who contributed one a piece and Alex Rodriguez and Kaitlin Lowy, who each chipped in two.

Paige Lau made 25 saves for LEASIDE on 28 shots. LEASIDE incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. SOUTHWEST took out Katrina Heyink after she had made one save and installed Hanna Slater in goal, where she finished with 18 saves and the loss. SOUTHWEST incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
