KINGSTON tried to dig itself out of a two-goal hole, but AURORA held on for a 3-2 victory. AURORA took a 3-1 lead during the third period, only to have KINGSTON storm back on a Shelby Perry (A) goal 19:53 into the third period to pull to one goal down. AURORA was paced by Kayla Jardine, who finished with one goal. Jardine scored 12:28 into the third period to make the score AURORA. Claudia Black assisted on the tally. AURORA put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow KINGSTON to score on any of its five power plays. Caroline DeBruin(A) also scored for AURORA. In addition, AURORA received assists from Alie Brindamour-McClure(A), Jessica Gillham, Lisa Donachey, and Christina Ieradi, who each chipped in one. KINGSTON was helped by Jaclyn Bastedo, who grabbed one goal. Bastedo scored 10:39 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Kailey Peirson picked up the assist. More assists for KINGSTON came via Alysha Burriss, who had one. AURORA's Taylor Lemmon stopped 23 shots out of the 25 that she faced. AURORA incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Emalee Wills (PU) recorded 23 saves for KINGSTON. KINGSTON incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
