BARRIE falls to BURLINGTON in overtime, 5-4 (OT)

Logan Boyd gave BURLINGTON a 5-4 (OT) victory over BARRIE when she scored 3:04 into the extra period.

BURLINGTON overcame a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. BURLINGTON trailed 4-2 after a goal by BARRIE's Alex Bond at 10:07 in the third period. BURLINGTON tied things up at 4-4 on a goal by Maeve Garvey at 19:48 in the third period.

Garvey was all over the ice for BURLINGTON, as she tallied one goal and two assists in the win.

BARRIE was unable to stop BURLINGTON from sending pucks towards the net, and BURLINGTON eventually piled up 40 shots on goal. BURLINGTON outdid its season average for goals scored. BURLINGTON has scored at the pace of 2.1 goals per game during the current campaign.

Lauren Patterson also scored for BURLINGTON. Other players who recorded assists for BURLINGTON were Karly Zammit and Coco Sultana, who contributed one a piece.

BARRIE excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in seven chances. BARRIE surpassed its usual scoring output this season. This season, BARRIE averages 1.6 goal per contest. BARRIE's normally stingy defense allowed more goals than usual. BARRIE averages 2.1 goals allowed per game.

BARRIE also got a goal from Chelsea Tucker as well. In addition, BARRIE received assists from Tara Morning, who had two and Paige Picard (A), Alora Keers (A), Laura McKenzie, Courtney Irving, and Justine Treadwell (C), who each chipped in one.

Rilee Wasilik recorded 15 saves for BURLINGTON. BURLINGTON incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. BARRIE's Sarah Stephens stopped 35 shots out of the 40 that she faced. BARRIE incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
