LONDON beat TORONTO, 3-1, in a contest where the winning goal was scored in the first period but the game remained close throughout.

LONDON took over the lead for good with a goal by Mariah-Leigh Fell at 9:48 in the first period. Lisa Downey assisted on the tally.

TORONTO was stymied by LONDON netminder Jessica Dodds, who stopped 40 shots during the victory. Dodds managed to improve on her goals against average, which stood at 1.35 prior to the game.

LONDON was sparked by Kyla Crouse, who racked up one goal. Crouse scored 2:52 into the second period to make the score 2-0 LONDON.

LONDON's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four TORONTO power plays.

LONDON also got a goal from Stacie Vink as well. More assists for LONDON came via Tia Kipfer, Paige Horton, and Clare McKellar, who each chipped in one.
