BURLINGTON tried its best to erase a three-goal deficit, but MISSISSAUGA would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 4-2. MISSISSAUGA took a 4-1 lead during the third period, only to have BURLINGTON storm back on a Maeve Garvey goal 16:29 into the third period to pull to two goals down. Victoria Bach and Jillian Skinner provided the spark for MISSISSAUGA, combining for three goals and two assists. Bach racked up two goals and two assists and Skinner also added one goal. MISSISSAUGA put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow BURLINGTON to score on any of its four power plays. MISSISSAUGA also got a goal from Kaitlin Doering as well. More assists for MISSISSAUGA came via Nadine Edney, Mikaela Lowater, Cassandra Clayton, Kelly Mariani, and Nadia Larocca, who each chipped in one. In addition, BURLINGTON received assists from Taylor Accursi, Logan Boyd, and Coco Sultana, who contributed one a piece. Amelia Boughn rejected 20 shots on goal for MISSISSAUGA. MISSISSAUGA incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. BURLINGTON's starting goalie, Rilee Wasilik, made 13 saves and finished with the loss before she was taken out in favor of Kyra OBrien, who stopped 11 shots. BURLINGTON incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors.
