LONDON blows out KINGSTON, 3-0Kinsmen Arena-London Fri, Nov 23, 2012 Story by Narrative Science.
LONDON had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 3-0 win over KINGSTON. KINGSTON's power play was ineffective against LONDON's penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded. LONDON was paced by Mariah-Leigh Fell, who tallied one goal. Fell scored 9:52 into the first period to make the score 1-0 LONDON. Brittany Howard assisted on the tally. LONDON's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on seven KINGSTON power plays. LONDON kept KINGSTON's goalie busy throughout the game, and Elizabeth Spinozzi made 31 saves on 34 shots. LONDON additionally got points from Kyla Crouse, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. LONDON also got a goal from Tia Kipfer as well. More assists for LONDON came via Paige Horton, who had one. KINGSTON did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. KINGSTON puts an average of 2.2 pucks into the net per game. LONDON's defense shut down KINGSTON's forwards for much of the game, and KINGSTON got off only 13 shots during the contest. Carley Molnar rejected 13 shots on goal for LONDON. LONDON totaled 23 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 0-for-2 on the power play. LONDON ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Kaylie Dennis was ejected from the game. KINGSTON incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
