STONEY CREEK survives MISSISSAUGA comeback, wins 4-3

MISSISSAUGA tried its best to erase a three-goal deficit, but STONEY CREEK would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 4-3.

A goal by Sarah Nurse (A) put STONEY CREEK up 4-1 in the third period, but MISSISSAUGA pulled to within one on Kelly Mariani's tally 12:21 into the third period.

Nurse (A) was all over the ice for STONEY CREEK, as she had two goals in the win.

STONEY CREEK put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow MISSISSAUGA to score on any of its three power plays. STONEY CREEK's goal total was higher than its season average. This season, STONEY CREEK averages 1.7 goal per contest.
