Noseworthy's big game bests KINGSTON in 6-1 SOUTHWEST win

Erinn Noseworthy had two goals and two assists to lead SOUTHWEST to a 6-1 victory over KINGSTON.

Noseworthy found the back of the net 7:07 into the second period to make the score 2-0 SOUTHWEST and again while 12:41 into the second to make the score 3-0 SOUTHWEST.

SOUTHWEST's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five KINGSTON power plays. SOUTHWEST outdid its season average for goals scored. SOUTHWEST has scored at the pace of 2.0 goals per game during the current campaign. SOUTHWEST could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 14 minutes in penalties during the game.

SOUTHWEST also got points from Laura Monforton, who also registered three goals and one assist. SOUTHWEST also got a goal from Jordyn Wade as well. Other players who recorded assists for SOUTHWEST were Jessica Cecile and MacKenzie Berthiaume, who each chipped in one.

KINGSTON excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in six chances.

KINGSTON was led by Megan Simpson (A), who scored the team's only goal. Simpson (A) scored 8:11 into the third period to make the score 3-1 SOUTHWEST. Alysha Burriss picked up the assist.

Hanna Slater recorded 17 saves for SOUTHWEST. Elizabeth Spinozzi took the loss and made 12 saves before being replaced by Jensen Murphy who made five saves. KINGSTON incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
