Taytum Clairmont finished with one point to lead CAMBRIDGE to a 2-1 victory over OAKVILLE. CAMBRIDGE excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. CAMBRIDGE also got points from Kaileigh Grant (A), who also registered one goal and one assist. In addition, CAMBRIDGE received assists from Marcie Landman, who had one. OAKVILLE put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow CAMBRIDGE to score on any of its five power plays. OAKVILLE's offense was handcuffed by CAMBRIDGE's defensive play, and OAKVILLE managed only 12 shots on goal during the game. OAKVILLE was led by Heather Platt, who scored the team's only goal. Platt scored 4:31 into the third period to make the score 1-1. Jessica Prevette assisted on the tally. Jenna Sosnoski rejected 11 shots on goal for CAMBRIDGE. CAMBRIDGE incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. OAKVILLE's Camille Leonard stopped 22 shots out of the 24 that she faced.
