CAMBRIDGE squeaks by BURLINGTON, 3-2

In a game where neither team could get a cushion, CAMBRIDGE escaped with a 3-2 victory over BURLINGTON.

No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Kaileigh Grant (A) at 9:12 of the third period.

CAMBRIDGE's penalty kill excelled, as CAMBRIDGE gave up zero goals despite allowing seven power plays.

CAMBRIDGE was sparked by Grant (A), who grabbed one goal.

CAMBRIDGE stifled BURLINGTON's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. CAMBRIDGE's offense rang up 32 shots on BURLINGTON's net. CAMBRIDGE's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as CAMBRIDGE finished with 14 penalty minutes.

CAMBRIDGE also got a goal from Marcie Landman as well. In addition, CAMBRIDGE received assists from Hannah Askin, Kate Gilkinson (A), Jessica Staats (A), and Taytum Clairmont, who contributed one a piece.

BURLINGTON was helped by Karly Zammit, who tallied one goal. Zammit scored 14:59 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Maeve Garvey provided the assist. Meagan Hart also scored for BURLINGTON.

Jenna Sosnoski recorded 19 saves for CAMBRIDGE. CAMBRIDGE registered one goal on three power play opportunities. BURLINGTON's Kyra OBrien stopped 29 shots out of the 32 that she faced. BURLINGTON incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
