Huge game by Farrell boosts ETOBICOKE over LEASIDE, 7-3

Megan Farrell was all over the ice for ETOBICOKE, as she tallied one goal and two assists in ETOBICOKE's 7-3 win over LEASIDE.

Farrell scored 2:38 into the third period to make the score 4-3 ETOBICOKE. Mackenzie Johnston provided the assist. Farrell dished an assist on Johnston's goal that made the score 5-3 ETOBICOKE at 8:59 into the third period. He added another helper on Shana Walker's goal that made the score 7-3 ETOBICOKE at 19:33 into the third period.

ETOBICOKE's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four LEASIDE power plays. LEASIDE was unable to stop ETOBICOKE from sending pucks towards the net, and ETOBICOKE eventually piled up 32 shots on goal. ETOBICOKE bested its season scoring average. This season, ETOBICOKE averages 2.2 goals per contest.

ETOBICOKE additionally got points from Nicole Atkinson, who also had one goal and one assist, Emma Dahlgren (C), who also tallied one goal and one assist, Johnston, who also had two goals and one assist, and Katelyn Turk (A), who also registered one goal and two assists. In addition, ETOBICOKE received assists from Nicole Spadotto, who had one and Cara Sayles, who had four.

LEASIDE kept ETOBICOKE's goalie busy throughout the game, and Amanda Smith made 30 saves on 33 shots.

LEASIDE was helped by Ashley Bailey, who finished with one goal. Bailey scored 8:33 into the first period to make the score 2-1 LEASIDE. McMahon Emily assisted on the tally. LEASIDE also got points from Karli Sullivan, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Alex Rodriguez also scored for LEASIDE. More assists for LEASIDE came via Kristen Lucas and Kaitlin Lowy, who contributed one a piece.

ETOBICOKE incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. LEASIDE's Paige Lau stopped 25 shots out of the 31 that she faced. LEASIDE incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
