Quad City downs Bloomington, 6-3

The Bloomington Blaze fell to the Quad City Mallards, 6-3.

Quad City found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. The Mallards average 3.3 goals per game.

Quad City was led by Matt Boyd, who registered one goal and two assists. Boyd scored 15:00 into the third period to make the score 6-3 Quad City. Anthony Perdicaro picked up the assist. Quad City additionally got points from Mickey Lang, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Patrik Levesque, who also had one goal and one assist. Darren McMillan also scored for Quad City. In addition, Quad City received assists from Mike Stinziani, who had two and Bob Preece, Matt Carlson, Matt Duffy, and Jason Dixon, who each chipped in one.

By firing 36 shots on goal, Bloomington exceeded the 23.2 shots it averages per game this year.

The Blaze were helped by Matthew Larke, who finished with one goal. Larke scored 56 seconds into the third period to make the score 5-3 Quad City. Travis Granbois assisted on the tally. Bloomington also got points from Jared Walker, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Bloomington also got a goal from Nicolas Rioux as well. Other players who recorded assists for Bloomington were Jon Booras, who had two and Nicklas Lindberg and David Gilbert, who contributed one a piece.

John Murray rejected 33 shots on goal for the Mallards. Quad City incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Ross MacKinnon took the loss and made seven saves before being replaced by Pier-Olivier Pelletier who made 15 saves. Bloomington incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
