Aaron Dell made 28 saves to complete the shutout and led the Allen Americans to a 4-0 win against the Wichita Thunder.

Allen was led by Jarret Lukin, who tallied one goal and one assist. Lukin scored 11:46 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Allen. Jason Deitsch provided the assist.

The Americans' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Wichita power plays. Allen's defense was surprisingly good. The Americans gives up 2.6 goals on average per game. Allen's offense was clicking better than usual and put 27 shots on goal during the game, better than the 23.1 shots per game it averages. The Americans' defensemen bolstered Allen's offensive attack, as they bombarded Grant Rollheiser with 15 shots.

Allen also had goals scored by Brian McMillin, who had one and Anthony Maiani, who had two. In addition, Allen received assists from Trevor Hendrikx and Trevor Ludwig, who contributed one a piece.

Wichita's offense operated below it season average. The Thunder average 3.5 goals per game.

Wichita was led by Neil Trimm, who took five shots.

The Americans totaled 11 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 1-for-6 on the power play. Rollheiser rejected 23 shots on goal for the Thunder. Wichita ended with 17 minutes in penalty time with six minors and one major.
