Missouri downs Fort Worth in overtime, 2-1 (OT)

Jesse Perrin gave the Missouri Mavericks a 2-1 (OT) victory over the Fort Worth Brahmas when he scored 11 seconds into the extra period.

Missouri was led by goalie Mike Clemente, who finished with 26 saves while allowing one goal. The solid play of Clemente will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 3.15.

The Mavericks were led by Perrin, who had one goal and one assist.

Missouri's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Fort Worth power plays. The 29 shots that the Mavericks put on net surpassed Missouri's average of 23.0 shots per game this season.

Colt King also scored for Missouri. In addition, Missouri received assists from Brandon Smith, Trevor Kell, and Sebastien Thinel, who each chipped in one.

Fort Worth excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. The Brahmas put 27 shots on net during the contest, more than the 19.7 they average per game.

Fort Worth was led by Shawn Szydlowski, who scored the team's only goal. Szydlowski scored 10:05 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Fort Worth. Tomas Klempa picked up the assist.

The Mavericks incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Brad Fogal made 27 saves for the Brahmas on 29 shots. Fort Worth incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
