Snowden's big game bests Tulsa in 6-3 Fort Worth win

The Fort Worth Brahmas' John Snowden had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing two assists in his team's 6-3 win over the Tulsa Oilers.

Snowden's tallies came at 8:21 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Fort Worth and 4:31 into the second to make the score 3-1 Fort Worth.

Fort Worth put 26 shots on net during the contest, more than the 23.2 it averages per game. The Brahmas outdid their season average for goals scored. Fort Worth has scored at the pace of 2.8 goals per game during the current campaign.

Fort Worth additionally got points from Chad Woollard, who also had two goals and three assists to lead the team in points and Adam Hogg, who also finished with one goal and two assists. Calin Wild also scored for Fort Worth. In addition, Fort Worth received assists from Sy Nutkevitch, Riley Boychuk, Erik Spady, Ross Rouleau, and Joe Tolles, who each chipped in one.

Tulsa was helped by Gary Steffes, who racked up two goals. Steffes scored the first of his two goals at 6:28 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Sean Erickson provided the assist. Steffes' next tally made the score 6-2 Fort Worth with 3:25 left in the third period. The Oilers had taken the advantage when the Brahmas' Rouleau got sent off for unsportsmanlike conduct. Mike Ullrich picked up the assist. Tulsa also got a goal from Ryan Cramer as well. Other players who recorded assists for Tulsa were Ben Gordon and Drew Fisher, who contributed one a piece.

Brad Fogal recorded 19 saves for Fort Worth. The Brahmas totaled 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 1-for-3 on the power play. Shane Madolora rejected 20 shots on goal for Tulsa. The Oilers totaled 11 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 1-for-4 on the power play.
