Sy Nutkevitch netted the deciding goal for the Fort Worth Brahmas in the shootout as Brahmas prevailed over the Tulsa Oilers, 5-4 (3-2 SO).

The shootout featured 12 attempts between both teams. Tulsa got shootout goals from Michel Beausoleil and Gary Steffes. Fort Worth's other shootout goals were scored by Brendon Hodge and Adam Hogg.

John Snowden had one goal and two assists to lead the Brahmas. Snowden scored 13:29 into the third period to make the score 4-4. Jake Morley picked up the assist.

Fort Worth excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. The Brahmas' goal total was higher than their season average. This season, Fort Worth averages 2.7 goals per contest. The Brahmas' defensemen bolstered Fort Worth's offensive attack, as they bombarded Shane Madolora with 16 shots. The Brahmas' offense was clicking better than usual and put 33 shots on goal during the game, better than the 18.8 shots per game they average.
