The Fort Worth Brahmas were firing on all cylinders against the Wichita Thunder, and when the final buzzer sounded Brahmas emerged with a 5-1 win.

Phil Fox had two goals to lead Fort Worth to victory. Fox scored at 7:28 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Fort Worth and again while on the power play 4:30 into the third to make the score 4-0 Fort Worth.

The Brahmas' penalty kill excelled, as Fort Worth gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays.

The the Brahmas penalty box was a popular destination as the team totaled six minors and three majors for 27 minutes in penalty time. Fort Worth had been averaging 13.0 minutes in penalties per game. The Brahmas stifled Wichita's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. With 30 shots on target during the contest, Fort Worth exceeded the 18.0 shots it averages per game this year. The Brahmas bested their season scoring average. Fort Worth has scored at the pace of 2.7 goals per game during the current campaign. The Brahmas' defensemen played well offensively, producing two goals while racking up 15 shots.

Fort Worth additionally got points from Adam Hogg, who also registered one goal and one assist. Nick Schneider also scored for Fort Worth. More assists for Fort Worth came via Jake Morley, Chad Woollard, Daniel Spivak, and Calin Wild, who contributed one a piece and Matt Ambroz and Tomas Klempa, who each chipped in two.
