Rapid City survives Arizona comeback, wins 2-1

Rapid City survived a determined comeback attempt by the Arizona Sundogs on the way to a 2-1 win.

Rapid City made the score 2-0 on a goal by Jarrett Konkle at 3:06 in the third period, and Arizona got as close as 2-1 when Pascal Morency scored 11:04 into the third period.

Rapid City was led by Konkle, who grabbed one goal.

Rapid City's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Arizona power plays. The 33 shots that Rapid City put on net surpassed Rapid City's average of 22.7 shots per game this season.

Rapid City also got a goal from Jeff Lee as well. Other players who recorded assists for Rapid City were Kyle Peto, Rusty Masters, and Tristin Llewellyn, who contributed one a piece.

In addition, Arizona received assists from Jeff Kyrzakos and Chad Langlais, who each chipped in one.

Tim Boron rejected 18 shots on goal for Rapid City. Rapid City incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Sundogs' Adam Russo stopped 31 shots out of the 33 that he faced. Arizona incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
