Team Comcast (mm) survives Chicago Fury (mm) comeback, wins 4-2

Chicago Fury (mm) tried to dig itself out of a three-goal hole, but Team Comcast (mm) held on for a 4-2 victory.

Team Comcast (mm) made the score 4-1 on a goal by Ryan Conlin at 6:08 in the third period, and Chicago Fury (mm) got as close as 4-2 when Mason Krueger scored 17:09 into the third period.

Team Comcast (mm) pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 76 penalty minutes.

Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 13:53 into the first period. Six fighting penalties were dished out along with two game misconducts.

The defense for Team Comcast (mm) tightened up when it had players in the penalty box, as it let in one goal on 12 Chicago Fury (mm) power plays.

Team Comcast (mm) was helped by Sean Lloyd, who tallied one goal. Lloyd scored 5:27 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Team Comcast (mm). Michael Merulla assisted on the tally. Team Comcast (mm) also got points from Conlin, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Nick Bohatiuk also scored for Team Comcast (mm). More assists for Team Comcast (mm) came via Michael Ufberg, Drew Karpen, Brendan Donohue, and Richard Brusco, who contributed one a piece.

Chicago Fury (mm) forced its penalty killing units to work especially hard during the game, picking up eight minors and one major for 41 minutes in penalty time. Chicago Fury (mm) surpassed its season average of 12.0 penalty minutes per game. Chicago Fury (mm)'s offense rang up 32 shots on Team Comcast (mm)'s net.
