Mooretown squeaks by Blenheim, 4-3

In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the Mooretown Flags escaped with a 4-3 victory over the Blenheim Blades.
Mooretown gained the winning advantage on a goal by Andrew Sokol 17:15 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer.
The Flags were led by Sokol, who tallied one goal.
Mooretown could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 60 minutes in penalties during the game.
The Flags were unable to stop Blenheim from sending pucks towards the net, and the Blades eventually piled up 36 shots on goal.
Blenheim was led by Mackenzie Dick, who registered one goal and one assist. Dick scored on the power play 16:31 into the first period to make the score 1-1. The Blades earned a power play opportunity when Jordan McBeath was put in the box for head contact. Taylor Phillips assisted on the tally. Blenheim also got points from Phillips, who also had one goal and one assist. Justin Rossignol also scored for Blenheim. In addition, Blenheim received assists from Bowe Shepley, Ryan Frizzell, and Cam Aitken, who contributed one a piece.
