The Blenheim Blades relied on the scoring touch of Kirk McKillop, who netted two goals, to beat the Mooretown Flags, 2-1.

McKillop scored short handed at 6:54 into the third period to make the score 1-1 and again while 18:32 into the third to make the score 2-1 Blenheim.

The Blades' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Mooretown power plays. Mooretown was unable to stop Blenheim from sending pucks towards the net, and the Blades eventually piled up 36 shots on goal.

Other players who recorded assists for Blenheim were Shawn Hope, John McKillop, and Aaron Pastorius, who each chipped in one.

The Flags average 3.5 goals per game. Mooretown's offense rang up 38 shots on the Blades' net.
