McIntyre quarterbacks Essex to 6-2 triumph against Belle RiverBelle River Lakeshore Arena Fri, Dec 14, 2012 Story by Narrative Science.
The Essex 73s' offense was sparked by Daniel McIntyre, as he ended with four assists in a 6-2 victory against the Belle River Canadiens. Essex put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Belle River to score on any of its five power plays. The Canadiens surpassed its season average of 20.0 penalty minutes per game. Belle River was held below its usual level of production. The Canadiens average 4.2 goals per game. Belle River was led by Guy Levesque, who registered one goal. Levesque scored 4:14 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Essex. Branden Larocque picked up the assist. Mike Ditty also scored for Belle River. In addition, Belle River received assists from Derek Haskell and James Shelton, who each chipped in one. Trevor Wheaton rejected 24 shots on goal for Essex. The 73s incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors. Olvin recorded 35 saves for the Canadiens. Belle River ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Chris DiNatale was ejected from the game. |
