The Belle River Canadiens beat the Mooretown Flags, 3-1, in a contest where the winning goal was scored in the first period but the game remained close throughout. Belle River took over the lead for good with a goal by Jason Clarke at 10:18 in the first period. Tyler Turner assisted on the tally.Mooretown was stymied by the Canadiens netminder Zakk Olvin, who stopped 29 shots during the victory. The solid play of Olvin will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 2.29. Belle River was led by James Shelton, who tallied one goal.
