The Kingsville Comets survived a determined comeback attempt by the Mooretown Flags on the way to a 5-3 win. Kingsville made the score 5-2 on a goal by Daniel Beaudion at 19:18 in the second period, and Mooretown got as close as 5-3 when Matt Brandon scored 4:29 into the third period. The Comets' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Mooretown power plays. Kingsville kept the Flags' goalie busy throughout the game, and Braden Palocz made 28 saves on 33 shots. The Comets surpassed their usual scoring output this season. This season, Kingsville averages 2.5 goals per contest. Kingsville also got points from Ryan Desjarlais, who also finished with one goal and two assists. Kingsville also got a goal from Frank Desjardin as well.
