Port Perry squeaks by Little Britain, 3-2

In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the Port Perry Mojacks escaped with a 3-2 victory over the Little Britain Merchants.

No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Matt Johnston at 1:04 of the second period.

Port Perry was led by Brodie Meyers, who grabbed one goal. Meyers scored 11:47 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Port Perry. Logan Evans assisted on the tally.

The Mojacks' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Little Britain power plays. Little Britain was unable to stop Port Perry from sending pucks towards the net, and the Mojacks eventually piled up 33 shots on goal.

Port Perry additionally got points from Matt Paul, who also tallied one goal and one assist. More assists for Port Perry came via Kyler Challis, who had two.

The Merchants were forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as they racked up 32 penalty minutes.

Little Britain was led by Mitch Berzins, who had one goal and one assist. Berzins scored 14:59 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Port Perry. Kurtis Moore provided the assist. Little Britain also got a goal from Cam Palmer as well. In addition, Little Britain received assists from Curtis Lee and Jesse Beers, who each chipped in one.

Drew Siydock made 22 saves for Port Perry on 24 shots. The Mojacks incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Neil Pittock rejected 30 shots on goal for the Merchants. For Little Britain, Ryan Moser was ejected from the game.
