The Lakefield Chiefs took home the win against the Little Britain Merchants, 5-2. Lakefield excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. The Chiefs kept Little Britain's goalie busy throughout the game, and Garrett Haden made 31 saves on 36 shots. Lakefield was led by Eric Shewell, who tallied one goal and one assist. Shewell scored 3:27 into the third period to make the score 3-0 Lakefield. Riley Campbell picked up the assist. Lakefield additionally got points from Jordan Walsh, who also registered one goal and one assist. Ryan Anderson also scored for Lakefield. Other players who recorded assists for Lakefield were Travis Brault, who had two and Hayden Lambe, Matt Perras, Ryan Saunders, and Nathan Larson, who contributed one a piece. The Merchants' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Lakefield power plays. Little Britain forced the Chiefs goalie Zach Wainman to work between the pipes, taking 36 shots. The Merchants were helped by Quincy McIvor, who racked up one goal. McIvor scored 8:13 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Lakefield. Mark Vasey provided the assist. Little Britain also got a goal from Rory McDowell as well. In addition, Little Britain received assists from Zack Boice and Paul Hennessey, who each chipped in one. Wainman recorded 34 saves for Lakefield. The Chiefs incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Little Britain incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
