Clarington's Ackerman deadly on offense in 4-1 win against Little Britain

Brock Ackerman had two goals to lead the Clarington Eagles to a 4-1 victory over the Little Britain Merchants.

Ackerman's tallies came on the power play at 2:01 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Clarington and 9:18 into the third to make the score 3-1 Clarington.

Clarington also got points from Brandon Hesson, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Clarington also got a goal from Cody Kean as well. Other players who recorded assists for Clarington were Graham Snoek, Dan Michel, and Blane Gaudon, who each chipped in one.

Little Britain was held below its usual level of production. The Merchants put an average of 3.2 pucks into the net per game.

Little Britain was led by Kurtis Moore, who scored the team's only goal. Moore scored 2:20 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Cam Palmer provided the assist.

Nick Keleher rejected 15 shots on goal for Clarington. The Eagles incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Neil Pittock recorded 19 saves for the Merchants. Little Britain incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
