Neil Pittock was superb between the pipes for the Little Britain Merchants, as he did not allow a goal in a 2-0 victory over the Clarington Eagles. Little Britain was sparked by Chad Lindsay, who tallied one goal. Lindsay scored on the power play 15:42 into the third period to make the score 1-0 Little Britain. The Merchants had gained a power play chance when Courtland Black-Araujo was whistled for head contact. Curtis Lee picked up the assist. Little Britain stifled Clarington's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals. Paul Hennessey also scored for Little Britain. In addition, Little Britain received assists from Mitch Phinney, who had one. The Eagles were held below their usual level of production. Clarington puts an average of 2.9 pucks into the net per game. Neil Pittock made 28 saves for the Merchants on 28 shots. Little Britain incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Brandon Green rejected 26 shots on goal for the Eagles. Clarington incurred 30 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
