The Uxbridge Bruins and the Clarington Eagles were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Uxbridge made the most of its opportunities and won, 3-2.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Tim Bierema secured the win for the Bruins with a goal in the third period.

Uxbridge was paced by Bierema, who registered one goal. Bierema scored 18:32 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Uxbridge. Keegan Cairns provided the assist.

Dylan Locke also scored for Uxbridge. More assists for Uxbridge came via Shane Smith, Marco Mastrangelo, Dylan Ross, and Justin Bean, who each chipped in one.

Clarington excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances.

The Eagles were helped by Blane Gaudon, who racked up one goal. Gaudon scored 7:16 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Clarington. Brad Down assisted on the tally. Clarington also got a goal from Cody Kean as well. In addition, Clarington received assists from Brett Brown, who had one.

The Bruins incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Clarington incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
