Nathan Larson netted a hat trick to lead the Lakefield Chiefs over the Georgina Ice, 8-2. Larson's first goal came 4:48 into the second period. He then added goals at 10:24 into the second and at 13:25 into the third.Georgina trailed by one after the first period, but Lakefield went into the second intermission with a 5-1 lead and never looked back. The Chiefs pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 22 penalty minutes. Lakefield's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on nine Georgina power plays. The Chiefs' offense rang up 46 shots on the Ice's net. Lakefield surpassed its usual scoring output this season. The Chiefs average 4.2 goals per game. Lakefield additionally got points from Eric Oosting, who also tallied one goal and two assists, Connor Blair, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Travis Brault, who also racked up one goal and two assists, and Derek Manley, who also finished with one goal and two assists. Jordan Walsh also scored for Lakefield. More assists for Lakefield came via Eric Shewell, who had three and Riley Campbell and Ryan Saunders, who each chipped in one. Georgina could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 30 minutes in penalties during the game. Zach Wainman made 27 saves for Lakefield on 29 shots. The Chiefs registered five goals on 11 power play opportunities. Michael Chilvers recorded 38 saves for the Ice.
