The Uxbridge Bruins had a seven-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 9-0 win over the Georgina Ice. Georgina fell victim to a deadly Uxbridge power play, which ripped the Ice for five goals. The Bruins were led by Keegan Cairns, who finished with one goal. Cairns scored on the power play 5:58 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Uxbridge. Uxbridge earned a power play opportunity when Vito Jessop was put in the box for hooking. Billy McBeth assisted on the tally. Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 14:10 into the third period. Four fighting penalties were dished out along with three game misconducts. The Bruins forced their penalty killing units to work especially hard during the game, picking up 10 minors and one major for 55 minutes in penalty time. Uxbridge surpassed its season average of 23.0 penalty minutes per game. The Bruins stifled Georgina's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Ice racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with 13 minors and two majors for 76 minutes in penalty time. Georgina had been averaging 28.0 minutes in penalties per game. The Ice's offense operated below they season average. Georgina averages 2.1 goals per game. The Bruins ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Korey Brand was ejected from the game. The Ice registered zero goals on four power play opportunities. Team's Brendan Anderson, Brett Humbruff, and Curtis Puhalski were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game.
