Patrick Morgan had two goals to lead the Uxbridge Bruins to a 4-1 victory over the Clarington Eagles. Morgan scored on the power play at 2:32 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Uxbridge and again while 13:18 into the first to make the score 2-0 Uxbridge.Clarington's power play was ineffective against Uxbridge's penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded. The Bruins stifled the Eagles' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Uxbridge was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 56 penalty minutes. Uxbridge also got points from Dylan Locke, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Uxbridge also got a goal from Tim Bierema as well. Other players who recorded assists for Uxbridge were Billy McBeth, Callum Lynch, Joey Vocino, Marco Mastrangelo, Justin Bean, Mike Ramsey, and Keegan Cairns, who contributed one a piece. Clarington's offense operated below it season average. The Eagles put an average of 3.8 pucks into the net per game. Clarington was shut out on the power play, going scoring scoreless on nine chances with a man advantage. The Eagles could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 56 minutes in penalties during the game. Clarington was led by Blake Ertel, who scored the team's only goal. Ertel scored 13:27 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Uxbridge. Brad Down picked up the assist. The Bruins registered one goal on nine power play opportunities. Uxbridge ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Matthew Allen was ejected from the game. For the Eagles, Carter Vahey and Dean Staikopoulos were ejected from the contest.
