Robitaille's hat trick boosts Listowel over Elmira, 6-3

Jacob Robitaille lifted the Listowel Cyclones to a 6-3 victory with a hat trick against the Elmira Sugar Kings.

Robitaille notched his first tally 19:54 into the first period. He then added goals at 1:05 into the second and at 13:43 into the second.

Elmira fell victim to a deadly Listowel power play, which ripped the Sugar Kings for four goals.

Elmira was unable to stop the Cyclones from sending pucks towards the net, and Listowel eventually piled up 42 shots on goal. The Cyclones' penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as Listowel finished with 24 penalty minutes.

Listowel additionally got points from Mac Nichol, who also racked up one goal and two assists and Caleb Cameron, who also grabbed one goal and three assists. Listowel also got a goal from Patrick Bell as well. In addition, Listowel received assists from Scott Pawson, who had three and Shawn Moore, Jesse Parker, and Brandon Preistap, who contributed one a piece.

The Sugar Kings forced the Cyclones goalie Drew Reinhardt to work between the pipes, taking 49 shots.

Elmira was led by Zac Coulter, who had two goals. Coulter scored the first of his two goals at 6:35 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Matt Sheick provided the assist. Coulter's next tally made the score 5-3 Listowel with 12:19 left in the third period. Adam Dauda assisted on the tally. Steven Jakiela also scored for Elmira. More assists for Elmira came via Adam Brubacher, who had one.

Reinhardt rejected 46 shots on goal for Listowel. Hayden Neuman made 36 saves for the Sugar Kings on 42 shots. Elmira incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors.
