Stoney Creek downs Niagara Falls in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

The Stoney Creek Warriors' Zach Nieminen scored 31 seconds into overtime to beat the Niagara Falls Canucks, 4-3 (OT).

Stoney Creek was sparked by Nieminen, who registered one goal.

Stoney Creek also had goals scored by Harry Polyoka, Ryan Lewis, and Cordell James, who each put in one. In addition, Stoney Creek received assists from Jake Bain, who had two and Lucas Triemstra, Neil Aird, Marco Mattina, Jordan Thomas, and Wesley St. Amand, who each chipped in one.

Niagara Falls was led by Mitch McIntosh, who tallied one goal and one assist. McIntosh scored 4:50 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Niagara Falls. Cole Vinnai picked up the assist. Niagara Falls additionally got points from Sean Farquharson, who also had one goal and one assist. Niagara Falls also got a goal from Michael Christou as well. More assists for Niagara Falls came via Johnny Curran, Drew Berkel, and Vito Scaringi, who contributed one each.

The Warriors' Alexander Brooks-Potts stopped 22 shots out of the 25 that he faced. Stoney Creek incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. The Warriors ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Matt Schwehr was ejected from the game. Hunter Johnson made 19 saves for the Canucks on 23 shots. Niagara Falls incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
