Arseneault's big game bests Strathroy in 5-2 Lambton Shores win

Adam Arseneault was all over the ice for the Lambton Shores Predators, as he tallied one goal and three assists in Lambton Shores' 5-2 win over the Strathroy Rockets.

Arseneault got on the board by slotting home a power play goal 16:44 into the second period to make the score 5-0 Lambton Shores. The Predators had gotten the advantage when Strathroy's Luke Jackson was sent off for inciting an opponent. Kyle Brothers assisted on the tally. Arseneault dished an assist on Brett Thompson's goal that made the score 2-0 Lambton Shores at 18:59 into the first period. He then added assists on Ryan Rontondi's goal at 12:32 into the second and on Rontondi's goal at 15:41 into the second.

Lambton Shores forced its penalty killing units to work especially hard during the game, picking up seven minors and one major for 49 minutes in penalty time. The Predators surpassed its season average of 19.0 penalty minutes per game. Lambton Shores made the Rockets' netminders to work all game long, ripping 43 shots and forcing 38 saves. Dalen Kuchmey made 26 stops and Gordie Weiss made 12. The Predators excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances.

Lambton Shores also got points from Rontondi, who also had two goals and one assist and Thompson, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Cale Duberry also scored for Lambton Shores. More assists for Lambton Shores came via Nick Sproveiro and Connor Annett, who contributed one a piece.

Lambton Shores was unable to stop Strathroy from sending pucks towards the net, and the Rockets eventually piled up 37 shots on goal. Strathroy could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 48 minutes in penalties during the game.

Strathroy also got a goal from Matthew Watson as well. In addition, Strathroy received assists from Blake O`Neill and Max Naus, who each chipped in one.

Brandon Campbell made 35 saves for the Predators on 37 shots. Lambton Shores registered one goal on five power play opportunities. For the Predators, Kyler Keating was ejected from the game.
