Huge game by Bailey boosts St. Catharines over Fort Erie, 8-3

The St. Catharines Falcons' Jordan Bailey had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing two assists in his team's 8-3 win over the Fort Erie Meteors.

Bailey's tallies came at 10:50 into the first period to make the score 2-1 St. Catharines and 19:32 into the third to make the score 8-3 St. Catharines.

St. Catharines forced Fort Erie's goaltenders to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, taking 59 shots and forcing 51 saves. Connor Visca made 31 stops and Wyatt Pickrell made 20.

St. Catharines additionally got points from Greg Jambrosich, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Tyler Jackson, who also registered one goal and one assist, Yanni Rallis, who also had one goal and one assist, Julian Luciani, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, and Luke Karaim, who also finished with one goal and two assists. Kyle Woodhouse also scored for St. Catharines. More assists for St. Catharines came via Riley Dunda, who had two, Ben Walsh, who had three, and Jimmy Sheehan, Dan MacEachern, and Ed Creighton, who each chipped in one.

The Meteors' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four St. Catharines power plays. Fort Erie forced the Falcons goalie Stormer Santana to work between the pipes, taking 32 shots.

The Meteors were helped by Jesse Pereira, who registered one goal. Pereira scored on the power play 7:51 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Fort Erie had taken the advantage when St. Catharines' Dunda got sent off for slashing. Kyle Marino assisted on the tally. Fort Erie also got points from Nik Passero, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Fort Erie also got a goal from Richard DeMarco as well. In addition, Fort Erie received assists from Dallas Ingram, Ryan Patrick, Kyle Davis, and Andy Sturtz, who contributed one a piece.

The Falcons' Santana stopped 29 shots out of the 32 that he faced. St. Catharines incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. The Meteors incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with two minors.
