Hanlon nets hat trick, leads Brampton to 6-3 win over Listowel

Jacob Hanlon netted a hat trick to lead the Brampton Bombers over the Listowel Cyclones, 6-3.

Hanlon notched his first tally 10:36 into the first period. He then added goals at 11:45 into the second and at 11:06 into the third.

Brampton's offense rang up 38 shots on Listowel's net. The Bombers found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. This season, Brampton averages 2.9 goals per contest.

Brampton also got points from Brady Clouthier, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Eric DiCarlo, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Calvin Gomes also scored for Brampton. In addition, Brampton received assists from Reid Jackman, who had two and Jake Gilmour, Nik Borschevsky, and Brandon Clelland, who each chipped in one.

The Cyclones were helped by Jacob Robitaille, who registered one goal. Robitaille scored on the power play 7:38 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Listowel had gotten the advantage when the Bombers' Kurt Wolff was sent off for kneeing. Scott Coghlin provided the assist. Listowel additionally got points from Caleb Cameron, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Listowel also got a goal from Brandon Preistap as well. More assists for Listowel came via Tyler Crawford and Drew Reinhardt, who contributed one a piece.

Bryan Raymond rejected 23 shots on goal for Brampton. The Bombers incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Brampton ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Phil Caputo was ejected from the game. Drew Reinhardt made 32 saves for the Cyclones on 37 shots. Listowel incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
