Stratford rips Waterloo, 5-2Allman Arena Fri, Feb 01, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
The Waterloo Siskins had trouble finding ways to stop the Stratford Cullitons, which beat Siskins, 5-2. Jake Ryan was all over the ice for Stratford, as he tallied one goal and two assists in the win. Ryan scored on the power play 14:53 into the first period to make the score 3-0 Stratford. The Cullitons had taken the advantage when Waterloo's PJ Bridges got sent off for unsportsmanlike conduct. Liam Maaskant picked up the assist. Stratford excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. The Cullitons forced the Siskins goalie Bridges to work between the pipes, taking 39 shots. Stratford got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game. Trevor Sauder also scored for Stratford. More assists for Stratford came via Dylan Wettlaufer, who had two and Ryan Watson, Shane O Brien, Mitch Brooks, Trevor MacDonald, and Jeff McArdle, who each chipped in one. Waterloo kept the Cullitons' goalie busy throughout the game, and Nick Caldwell made 32 saves on 34 shots. The Siskins were helped by Ryan Doucette, who had one goal.
