Norrie's goals lift Caledonia to 8-3 victory over GuelphHaldimand Center Fri, Feb 01, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
Tyler Norrie was all over the ice for the Caledonia Corvairs, as he tallied two goals in Caledonia's 8-3 win over the Guelph Hurricanes. Norrie's tallies came at 19:52 into the first period to make the score 3-1 Caledonia and on the power play 3:09 into the second to make the score 4-2 Caledonia.The Corvairs kept Guelph's goalie busy throughout the game, and Quinton Henry made 33 saves on 41 shots. Caledonia's goal total was higher than its season average. The Corvairs have scored at the pace of 4.2 goals per game during the current campaign. Caledonia was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 38 penalty minutes. Caledonia additionally got points from Adam Brady, who also registered two goals and one assist to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Caledonia included Marc Silvestri, who had two and Brier Jonathan and Simon Blythe, who scored one goal each. Marcus DelConte made 16 saves for Caledonia on 19 shots. The Corvairs registered two goals on seven power play opportunities. For Caledonia, Scott Dorian was ejected from the game. Guelph incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
