London completes comeback, beats Lambton Shores, 5-4

The London Nationals climbed out of a two-goal hole to beat the Lambton Shores Predators, 5-4.

London never led in the game until netting the game winner. The Nationals was down 3-1 after a goal by Lambton Shores' Brett Thompson at 19:38 in the first period. London tied things up at 4-4 on a goal by Aaron Dartch at 10:12 in the second period. The Nationals got the game winner on the power play at 13:09 in the second period on a goal by Dartch.

London was sparked by Ryan Tuffin, who had one goal and one assist.

The Nationals excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances.

London additionally got points from Matt Fuller, who also registered one goal and one assist and Sean Consitt, who also tallied one goal and one assist. London also got a goal from Jonathan Sims as well. More assists for London came via Jeff Bauer, who had three and Paul Hopkins, Mark Gazdic, Keaton Ratcliffe, and Matt Wildman, who contributed one a piece.

The Predators were helped by Cleo Gubbles, who finished with one goal. Gubbles scored 6:52 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Lambton Shores. Bryan Boersma assisted on the tally. Ryan Rontondi also scored for Lambton Shores. In addition, Lambton Shores received assists from Jim McKinlay, Austin Fetterly, and Dillon Liberty, who each chipped in one and Tanner Ferguson and Adam Arseneault, who contributed two a piece.

Nick Dampier made five saves before being replaced by Taylor Edwards, who took the win and made 17 saves. London incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. Brandon Campbell recorded 20 saves for Lambton Shores. The Predators incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
