Stoney Creek downs Fort Erie in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

Neil Aird gave the Stoney Creek Warriors a 4-3 (OT) victory over the Fort Erie Meteors when he scored 1:42 into the extra period.

Stoney Creek was paced by Aird, who tallied one goal.

The Warriors put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Fort Erie to score on any of its five power plays. Stoney Creek's offense rang up 47 shots on the Meteors' net.

Stoney Creek also got a goal from Eric Eustace as well. More assists for Stoney Creek came via Blake Luscombe, who had two and Jake Bain, Marco Mattina, Dave Eccles, Ryan Lewis, Mitch Graham, and Wesley St. Amand, who contributed one a piece.

Fort Erie's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Stoney Creek power plays. The Meteors kept the Warriors' goalie busy throughout the game, and Alexander Brooks-Potts made 28 saves on 31 shots.

Fort Erie was helped by Jesse Pereira, who had one goal and one assist. Pereira scored 9:54 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Carson Johnstone provided the assist. Fort Erie additionally got points from Kyle Davis, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Mike Boles also scored for Fort Erie. In addition, Fort Erie received assists from Braeden Kavaravtzis, who had one and Mac Passero, who had two.

Stoney Creek incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. Wyatt Pickrell rejected 43 shots on goal for the Meteors. Fort Erie incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
