LaSalle downs Leamington in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

The LaSalle Vipers pulled out a 4-3 (OT) overtime victory over the Leamington Flyers on a clutch goal by Patrick Murphy.

LaSalle overcame a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Vipers was down 3-1 after a power play goal by Leamington's Nathan Opblinger at 9:59 in the second period. LaSalle tied things up at 3-3 on a goal by Dylan Denomme at 19:01 in the second period.

Denomme had two goals to lead the Vipers to victory.

LaSalle could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 36 minutes in penalties during the game.

Brendan McCann also scored for LaSalle. In addition, LaSalle received assists from Korey Morgan, Ben Hanus, and Weston Gaul, who each chipped in one.

The Flyers kept the Vipers' goalie busy throughout the game, and Taylor Speed made 48 saves on 51 shots.

Leamington was helped by Eric Leardi, who finished with one goal. Leardi scored on the power play 13:55 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Leamington. The Flyers had taken the advantage when LaSalle's Richard Villani got sent off for tripping. Tony Spidalieri provided the assist. Leamington also got points from Opblinger, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Leamington also got a goal from Nick Beaune as well. More assists for Leamington came via David Dalby, who had one.

The Vipers registered one goal on four power play opportunities. Austyn Roudebush recorded 22 saves for Leamington. The Flyers incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
