Behind a great game by Chris Brown, who had one goal and three assists, the Welland Jr. Canadians defeated the Fort Erie Meteors, 6-3.

Brown scored 7:11 into the third period to make the score 4-3 Welland. Ryan Migliaccio picked up the assist. Brown dished an assist on Lapine Rob's goal that made the score 2-2 at 19:14 into the second period. He then added assists on Riley Brooks's goal at 5:20 into the third and on Braden Curry's goal at 8:53 into the third.

Welland's offense rang up 31 shots on Fort Erie's net. The Jr. Canadians outdid their season average for goals scored. Welland averages 3.9 goals per game.

Welland additionally got points from Rob, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Curry, who also had one goal and one assist. Welland also got a goal from Brooker Muir as well. Other players who recorded assists for Welland were Derrik Vannas, who had two and Adam Mataya, Josh Gervais, Mack Seebach, and Chris Langdon, who contributed one a piece.

Matt Coulombe made 24 saves for the Jr. Canadians on 27 shots. Welland incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. For the Jr. Canadians, Matt Gillard was ejected from the game. Connor Visca recorded 25 saves for the Meteors. Fort Erie registered two goals on seven power play opportunities. The Meteors ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Carroll was ejected from the game.
