Wyatt Pickrell made 29 saves to complete the shutout and led the Fort Erie Meteors to a 5-0 win against the Buffalo Jr. Blades. Buffalo's power play was ineffective against Fort Erie's penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded. The Meteors excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in seven chances. Fort Erie's offense rang up 55 shots on the Jr. Blades' net. The defensemen of the Meteors were also effective in Buffalo's zone, and came away with four goals. Fort Erie was helped by Dallas Ingram, who racked up one goal and one assist. Ingram scored on the power play 16:27 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Fort Erie. The Meteors had gotten the advantage when the Jr. Blades' Gary Seitz was sent off for cross checking. Cameron Fairgrieve provided the assist. Fort Erie additionally got points from Andy Sturtz, who also had one goal and one assist. Fort Erie also had goals scored by Andrew Reis, who had one and Mike Boles, who had two.
