The Caledonia Corvairs tried their best to erase a three-goal deficit, but the Elmira Sugar Kings would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 8-6.

Elmira made the score 8-5 on a goal by Zac Coulter at 13:10 in the third period, and Caledonia got as close as 8-6 when Connor Murphy scored 19:42 into the third period.

The Sugar Kings got the win with help from a great game by Brandon Stewart, who had two goals and one assist. Stewart scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 36 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Elmira. Elmira earned a power play opportunity when Jeff Swift was put in the box for hooking. Brady Campbell provided the assist.
