The Caledonia Corvairs tried their best to erase a three-goal deficit, but the Elmira Sugar Kings would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 8-6. Elmira made the score 8-5 on a goal by Zac Coulter at 13:10 in the third period, and Caledonia got as close as 8-6 when Connor Murphy scored 19:42 into the third period. The Sugar Kings got the win with help from a great game by Brandon Stewart, who had two goals and one assist. Stewart scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 36 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Elmira. Elmira earned a power play opportunity when Jeff Swift was put in the box for hooking. Brady Campbell provided the assist. Stewart's next tally on the power play made the score 6-4 Elmira with 19:18 left in the third period. The Sugar Kings had taken the advantage when the Corvairs' Spencer Gourlay got sent off for slashing. Jake Weidner picked up the assist. The Sugar Kings were forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as they racked up 44 penalty minutes. Elmira additionally got points from Craig Johnson, who also tallied two goals and one assist, Pat McKelvie(APJ), who also racked up one goal and one assist, Coulter, who also tallied one goal and one assist, and Weidner, who also finished with one goal and one assist.
