Joe Dagostino had two goals to lead the Port Colborne Pirates to a 5-2 victory over the Welland Jr. Canadians. Dagostino's tallies came at 9:00 into the first period to make the score 1-1 and 5:06 into the third to make the score 2-2.Port Colborne managed to stay out of the box better than usual, finishing with one minor for two minutes in penalty time. The Pirates ended up below its season average of 21.0 penalty minutes per game. Port Colborne forced Welland goalie Matt Coulombe to work between the pipes, taking 46 shots. The Pirates got an offensive boost from their blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.
